Hip Shade
Hip Shade is our peaked, hip-roof canopy — a freestanding structure with a distinctive angular profile that reads as sharp and architectural rather than a flat box.
The steep hip pitch sheds rain cleanly and gives the structure a strong wind profile, which is part of why it has become a popular choice for outdoor fitness equipment installations, pickleball and multi-sport courts, and playground shade.
Like every Shade America structure, Hip Shade is built on hot-dip galvanized steel with UV-stable ShadeNet fabric, and is engineered to meet local building codes for wind load. Multiple Hip Shade units can be arrayed side by side to cover a full bank of equipment or courts.
